Default Some pictures of my new cage (non honda)

as some of you know i smashed my old car with the cage inside so instead of re useing the backhalf of the old cage we decided to build a new one from scratch. this cage makes the old one look and fit like a piece of **** haha. it was finished about an hour before i got to the event at Summit Point and I painted it at the track haha

There are faster ways around a race track. JK Cage looks good.

Obviously you have never entered turn 12 at Rd Atlanta at 130+. Or come into turn 1 at 160. I just don't get drifting, but I am an old school road racer, so I shouldn't hold that against you.

haha ive done hpde in my old type r at VIR and summit point main. i know road racing is fun. Bob Speakman who holds the record in pt/d on summit point main used to keep his racecars at my house when i was very young. ive been around road racing for a long time. drifting just seems to better reflect my personality. and i really wanted to try something new. i dont blame you one bit for not uderstanding drifting, sometimes i dont either.

HDPE and racing are so totally different. I did my driver's school in an ITA CRX. It had 120hp and wieghed 2200+ lbs. But the racing was a blast, because it was neck and neck all the time. Beating some guy through the braking zone and staying ahead of him through the next turn is indescribable. With drifting you don't get that head to head competition, that feeling you get when you shut the door on the guy that is trying to pass you mid turn.

ya i know what you mean. but we pass too haha. i love road racing and love watching an underdog beat up on more expensive "faster" cars. but i do this mostly because it was very easy to get into and at one point in time i thought it would be cheaper than road racing. in the end no motorsport is cheap. even in drifting it takes alot of knowledge, alot of hard work and a good setup car to be competitive. it makes you think ho much more goes in to some other forms of racing. I respect road racing alot. i hope to one day be able to get back into it and be able to be competitive.

Nice looking cage man, I'm getting ready to start on my g/f's 240 here soon. She has a s13 hatch but we're doing the vh45de swap and staying n/a for now. She's just starting to get into the drifting scene.

z32 300zx trans for now, they seem to hold up pretty good. we're only shooting for ~350whp. plus we're using a twin disc clutch.

nice, yeah my g/f's s13 is getting the 4.5 for now, but we have a second block so we can get it sleeved, and then build a 5.0L with 12:1 compression, new cams, and itb's
