struts too tall for dc2 integra rears?
Okay, so last night I bought skunk2 struts with goldline springs. The fronts went on with ease! literally no problem with the front. we go to do the rear and spend 4 hours drilling and cutting bolts. We get the strut out and new control arms on. Go to mount them back up and it seems like the clearance is wayyyy too long. we tried compressing the springs on the actual strut but nothing. any tips!!!??? i just dropped 350 on new parts and if they dont fit it was for nothing!
if the the parts are for your year and model, you shouldn't have a problem. When dealing with rears, get a friend and a pry bar or some type of crow bar and have the friend pry or step on the rear disc brake assembly while you try to install them.

The rear shock/spring assembly will always appear too long when the shock is at full extension with the spring installed. You have to unbolt the LCA from the trailing arm, bolt up the shock, and then place a jack under the LCA to raise it into position. This loads the spring slightly, and then you can align the outer hole in the LCA with the hole in the trailing arm, and bolt it back up.
Thanks alot for the information everyone. I thought that I would add that the struts I bought came off a da and I just switched the forks and top hats. We tried taking the bolt off of the control arm attached to the subframe. Thanks! Any input is greatly appreciated!
