Default Identify this Part: D16Z6 cradle/ valve area...

While installing my valve cradle on my D16Z6, before tightening the bolts, I saw this sitting next to a valvespring... It was on the exhaust side on top of where the #2 cylinder is... I assume I knocked it out of the cradle, but I cannot figure out where it goes, or what it is. Please assist. I apologize for the terrible pictures, but I don't own a camera, only a cell phone. The object is cylindrical and solid. It has no beveled edges nor is hollow. (No, I don't know how to re-size images, apologies again)

Vague... BUT, I got it. It is a "synchronizing piston". It is in the rocker arm on the intake side (VTEC side). Thanks.

Question: Is there supposed to be a rubber o-ring here?

Time out: the "oil jet" you are referring to is the oil control orifice. This is not a "mini-me", this is a D16Z6 matching head and block. If Honda deemed it proper to install this orifice from the factory, I side with them. Thanks for the help earlier, I need to start a new thread to find the o-ring for this....

/ thread.
