Ok so I registered for my first auto X this weekend. Car is a 01 Integra GSR with Koni Yellow Sport adjustable shocks, Skunk 2 race springs, Blox lower rear control arms, and a Beaks lower rear tie bar, aftermarket header, OEM ITR wing and front lip . Rest of the car is stock.
My question is two part-first, what the hell class am I in? I have the class worksheet and I am still confused lol.
Secondly, some people are telling me that the Beaks bar will bump my car into a much more difficult class and I should remove it prior to the Auto X. I looked at the class/modifications sheet and I have no idea what this part would actually be called? Should I leave the Beaks bar on or pull it off? Any help from those in the know would be appriciated.

If you're running in the morning:
NOV-A
The afternoon:
NOV-B
Just sign up for the NOVICE class for the first year you run.
And the beaks bar will not change your class. It's a piece of bling that doesn't do much of anything besides look cool and scrape.

Ok thanks. But the way the class system is set up, every class has a novice rating for that class (ie stock novice, street prepared novice, street modified novice, modified novice, etc...) So basically I have no idea
Street Prepared.
If they give you **** about your Beaks bar, explain that it's not a true jacking rail, but a lateral subframe reinforcement.

actually he would be in ST.
op, it's your first time, just go and have fun. oh, and ask a lot of questions. find someone that has a car similar to yours, ask how long he's been autocrossing, and ask him for some advice. it depends from region to region, but if you're lucky and have a pretty laid back region, you'll have a lot of friendly people helping you, and giving you advice.
oh, and please do the novice walk in the morning. there will be someone that knows what he is doing, and he will explain how to tackle the course. plus, you can ask him some questions on line taking and stuff.

Yes, you will be in ST. You will be raped by EF's, but who cares. do as many walks as you can in the morning, talk with tons of people, and do as many ride alongs with people as you can.
Have fun !

Ah, I forgot about STS. Nobody ever runs in that class in the group I go with, so I sort of forget it exists at all.
Small group with a bunch of SM and SS guys.

If you want to continue running in ST as you work on your car further, just make sure you never relocate your battery into your driver's compartment. Instant class bump right there.
And I wish I could run ST when I finish my del Sol, but 2-seaters lose.
