swap help...
so i picked up a 88 hatchback shell, i think it was dpfi because it doesnt have a resistor box. a couple days later i found a cheap engine (d15b non-vtec), wiring harness (obd1) and a ecu (p06) so i bought it. ive been doing some reseacher and asking around and to make it work i need a obd0 to obd1 ecu conversion and a stock wiring harness from any 88-91 civic. also since my car was a dpfi what would i do to make it pgm-fi or do i not need to worry about that?
Yes you need to convert the car to obd1 to use the p06 ecu, for this you will need a ECU conversion harness as well as a distributor harness. You WILL need to find out what model it is, DX or STD and get the engine harness for the car, no other car harness will plug into it.
You will need to convert the car to MPFI which is only 4 wires and swap some, very easy, bunch of writeups in the FAQ on how to do it.
