There are no problems with my 97 prelude during driving accept at steady speeds the car jerks. i have to constantly be speeding up or slowing down. this is also the case with the cruise control. anyone ever had problems like this? input would be greatly appreciated.

 

it sounds like either a egr or cat problem...

Sounds like the TPS sensor. Check this by hooking up your multimeter. Unplug the tps and check resistance by putting the negative lead on the middle prong and positive lead to either side. Open the throttle slowly and the resistance should follow as smooth accordingly, from closed to WOT and from WOT to closed. If it does not or is glitchy, theres your problem.

 

the jerking happens all the time no matter cold or hot or the speed and its only at constant speeds. there are no codes being thrown accept knock sensor sometimes.

 

my money is on the tps sensor. sounds like an issue i had b4.
