Default ? compression fittings

I am wanting to use compression fittings on my 97 honda accord. I will be using them on a fuel line that busted between the fuel tank and filter..... I can't find any fuel lines that have the double flare that fits into the plastic tubing that then goes into the tank... Honda wants 130.00 for the line.......... Has anyone ever used these fittings w/o any problems/leaks??????? thanks

I recently repaired a fuel line that had rusted at a bend. I cut the bad tube back a little, used a compression fitting to join the two tubes, bent the new tube into the correct position with a tubing bender and did a double inverted flare on the end of the new tube to go into the stock hose that leads to the gas tank. This was on my 92 Civic hatchback.

Do you have a picture or diagram to show where it is you are having trouble?
