atts code 43- ecm communication line

ok so my buddys 1998 prelude sh hasnt been pulling the way it should. I checked for codes and 43 on the atts light came up. we have changed the oil since and i pulled the clock fuse to reset it . still comes back..im a noob and have no clue of where to start trouble shooting this problem. i have done a good amount of researching and i cant seem to find the right answers.. can someone please shed some light on this topic or atleast steer me toward another thread.. thanks

Try replacing the fail-safe relay. That's what did the trick for me.

What does this have to do with anything, he already knows what code it is.

by any chance can you explain what the fail safe relay is?

If he scrolls down past the codes, it tells him how to troubleshoot the ATTS problem.
