Default EG black housing lamps. Who has them and where to get?

Ive seen a few civic with the clear black housing lamps. Im wondering how the light out put was and also who got theres for a good price and if any sposers sell them on here.

these one here.

im interested in doing this also, but not buyin ebay. id rather get some junk oem ones and try... any writeups for the 5g black housing lights?

i have those on my eg the light "out put" is the same as oem they dont come with bulbs so you use the ones you have in your lights now..
the only "advantage" to those headlights is it has this "city light" wich is kinda cool but you gotta wire it up.. and i always recomend wiring em up the correct way (with a bosh style relay) so you dont put any extra strain on the battery/alternator
the fitment is what i was worried about but it actually fits pretty good i think i left like 2 bolts out cause it didnt line up but theres no problem

To do clear with black housings on the oem you would need to polish the glass on the inside and thats a pure PITA.

I see them on ebay but they want ****in $100us just to ship them.

yea that and the beam patern and light out put sucks compared to oem.
its up to you, but it may be better to do it oem.
i have ebay lights and sure they look good,but the part that clips my bulb in broke, and they leak, the are just trash...

had these on my EJ and I plan on putting them on my EH now I had hid on my ej and the light didn't scatter badly, the lights look great fit great, i have nothing bad to say about them.
