Strange issue here. Did a b16a turbo swap into my ej8. I can drive the car in reverse all day however when i put it in gear and try to move forward it chokes and dies. Im getting air / fuel / spark. My main relay clicks when it wants to choke and hiccup. The main relay was just changed since i had a bad one. Could a bad thermostat ground be the issue? Possible clogged fuel filter? Any advice is welcomed. Im about to set this damn thing on fire!

i dont know much about the fitiings of the cv axles but did u get the correct ones...i know it doesnt make sence that u can reverse but not go forward. fuel filter should be fine since you can drive in reverse. try to get a main relay from the scrap yard...the new one might be a fluke. check all your grounds. check your TPS. might have been bumped when putting the engine in. just throwing some stuff out there.

 

I calibrated the TPS so i know that isnt the issue. The relay is working fine and the axles came out of a dc2 gsr. thanks for the input though

 

what does it do when you put it in gear and step on the gas?

 

turns out it was the thermostat ground. runs great now.
