Default Built GSR high compression question kinda confused...???

Ok so i bought this 94 gsr 2200 bucks been putting tons of money time and

even a new paint job into it and i did a compression check on it right when i got it and i

have been kinda wondering what kind of numbers psi wise 12:1 high compression forged

pistons should throw out cuz i did a compression check right when i got it and after i had

anthony tune it with bigger fuel system and both times the compression was between 230

and about 245 ish between all the cylinders. If the pistons are 12 to 1 shouldnt it be

higher than that?

like around 275ish? its also a fresh motor only bout 2000 miles since the build lmk what you

guys think and know bout high compression cuz im totally new to it thanx. Oh ya also was

thinkin bout boosting it on like 5lbs to help it sell quik style cuz the car moves about the

same as a stock gsr maybe a little faster but not like high compression should anyway thanx

in advance

Merely installing higher compression pistons doesn't mean you will gain a significant amount of power. Perhaps a few hp by itself. Had you installed some aftermarket cams that would require 12:1 CR, then you should see some significant gains. Also, what were your compression numbers before the rebuild? If they were much lower, say 140 psi, I wouldn't be concerned with 240 psi as long as they are withing the acceptable range. If your numbers were similar to 240 psi before the rebuild, then I would be worried. Was the block honed to ensure proper ring seal?
