how did you mount ur power window switches?
i know theres just a few people whove done the power window install into a crx but how did you swap the sides so the us driver side has power not the jdm driver side? pics would be awesome and maybe a step by step?

key points of the install, if you want me to clear anything up in more detail just ask.
1. take the stock window arms and swap the motors, its only two 10mm i believe bolts holding the motor in
they swap over perfectly, the only difference is the point in the opposite direction as they would have origionally.
when you mount the arms in the car since the motor will be in the wrong spot there wont be room for it so you will have to pound out the door inside to allow room for it. i just used tools to pry out enough room.
2. you need to modify the latch brace's to go upside down. in order to have them fit on the opposite side and mount up to the lock rods in the door you need to do a few modifications:
a- swap over the locks and lock pins, you will notice that there is not enough room for them to pivot on the opposite sides and to fix this you need to dremel out some metal from the latch brace.
3. mount up and start wiring.
how the wiring works:
best way to figure out the wiring is to look at the wiring diagram, look closely and spend lots of time until you fully understand what is going on.

when it shows the relays you will need to buy 2 automotive relays and wire them up

Best picture I have of mine. And yes please understand I'll be replacing it with a Black EK armrest. (This is just what I had on hand) Oh yeah, they are legend (older on 88-91?) rear window switches.

As you can tell from the passenger side I broke the little plastic surrounding piece when I was removing them (first time), if I actually hadn't the switch would mount perfectly without any up/down play and plug directly into the hole. The biggest advantage to this setup is that both the passenger and driver side can be controlled by either occupant, less wiring, don't have to cut any holes the the door cards.
i was actually referring to the switches themselves... not the wiring and such im just trying to figure out how to swap the switches on either side.....
Ok so i already powered both windows both windows work and go up and down now im not very good at reading that diagram but can you tell me are the 3 extra wires coming from the drivers switch supposed to hook up to the passenger switch? is that how that works? is that how the driver controls the passenger side as well?

The main power and switch up/down go to the driver side first. Then they tap off and go to the passenger side. This method makes it so that the driver switch has precedent over the passenger so that it can be overridden.
you will need the metal brackets for switches to function properly, and you will have to modify them. here is what i did:
jdm metal bracket for switches...

where i cut....

if you do not modifiy the brackets then the lower rod which controls the actual door handle (to open door) will rub the bracket and become very hard to open. you will notice when you take off the door panel and expose the inside door handle how the rods are attatched and where it will rub.

well i dont actually know where to get those brackets but they're already in the car without the brackets just held on by one screw very tightly anyways this whole thread was just about how to get the driver side on the us driver side not jdm. so how did you turn yours upside down and inside out is what im asking? lol
the brackets should have came with the switches. you can use the ones that came with your car but with using that one you will not be able to bolt it down and it will pop out of the hole that you cut out for it in the door panel.
this is what the oem ones that came it our cars look like.....
