hey guys , i did some searching but didnt find the answers im looking for. i just changed my tranny from hydro b16 to jdm itr s80. the new tranny didnt come with a speed sensor, so i thought i could just use my old one. the plastic gear on the b16 one is too big for the lsd diff.
i went on honda and acura part sites and compared both part numbers and it says the part numbers are the same. 23820-p03-000. i know this isnt right because my b16 one doesnt fit it there. anyone have this problem or know where to get the gear number for the itr trans?

Same part number. I used my plastic B16 VSS in my ITR trans in my coupe with no issues at all.

 

I'm starting to think this thing may have an aftermarket final drive in it . It's been opened up before.

 

Final drive doesn't affect the VSS.

Unless its a clutch type LSD then it doesn't matter which VSS you use.

 

why shouldnt it matter? are they all supposed to work with the clutch type lsd? im thinking it might be a clutch type. car clicks when i turn and i just put new axles in it so i know its not that.
