SOHC's are very limited all motor. You be lucky to push more than 190 n/a. Look into forced induction or a swap.

all the power is made in the head, do some head work, port polish, cam, oversize valves etc..

Wrong.
All the power is made down below. That is your weak point. Ive built turbo d blocks that made nice numbers with mild p&p work to the head, stock cam, valves, keepers, etc.

Turbod16.com
d-series.com

Research.

Turbod16.com
d-series.com

Research.
first ur talking about boosted motor he was asking about N/A
second you are wrong the head is the most important part of an engine when making power displacment rod/stroke ratio etc is important but the air/fuel needs to get to the block before it can be combusted. head work=power

N/A D-series = No power.
Ive had a high compression piston'd z6 with a cam and extensive p&p and it dyno'ed 133hp, lets not talk about the tq #'s.........Not worth it.

first off its VTEC

second off D series all motor isnt all that hard. Swap in ZC pistons to up the compression to 12.x . Bisimoto makes amazing cam for SOHC that produces alot of power. Check out D series.org they have a bunch of 150+ hp SOHC which is decent power and quite fun to drive.

b16 swap cost AVERAGE 2500 bucks...and you WILL be disappointed in the end.

that intake is called Individual Throttle body.

you are better making your own turbo kit for around 600 bucks if you want some power.

My question is this---where do you live? i know here in VA there are a lot of people that try to rip you off with 250,000 mile VTEC heads for $400.00 and stupid crap like that, but the BEST thing i've seen here is a place called "Pick-n-pull", formerly "U-Wrench-it". It's a junkyard. Me and a friend went there and pulled a d16zc motor pre-tuned with everything but a turbo for $175.00, it was t-boned in the rear left side. Pulled that, pulled a little turbo off of an old supra, and made the whole turbo setup, with brackets and lines and piping. Turbo was $75.00, he bought a rebuild kit. He spent a total of about $400 for all, and we had it all together and running in about a week. I JUST got a 92 civic d15b7, and i'm going to do the exact same thing here in the next month or so.
