You have what kit that requires you to use an old pre-OBD distributor?

 

I think I know what your meaning, some alts have 3 wires some have 4. I dunno if thats an OBD 0 or 1 thang but if your harness plug has 4 wires use a 4 wire one, if not use a 3 wire one im pretty sure its that simple.
