messed with the alt. now car wont do anything
my belt was loose so i adjusted the altinator. get in my car and try to start it but nothing turns on. my battery is fully charged and connected and ive checked all my fuses. anyone know what might be wrong?
adjusting the alt should not have this out come, unless you super tighten the belt to the point where it won't let the crank spin (unlikely). check grounds and loosen the belt to see if it will do the trick.
Check your main fuse. If you touched the power output on the alt while messing with any of the bolts, then you more then likely popped your main fuse.

main fuse is under the hood. and i would make sure the wiring harness is pressed in all the way and the ground is tight on your alternater.
True. I once did it on the starter and blew the starter fuse 60A and it will probably happen to the alternator as will.... always remember to unplug the battery before working on cars....
yes learned my lesson on taking the battery loose. ill work on the car tomorrow night and check the fuse and the grounds
