in an open diff tranny you need to turn your wheels left to right during the burnout.

on street tires? Don't worry about it. They aren't going to heat up. doing a burnout on street tires is useless.

I disagree. Mine runs 2.4 without and 2.2 with a SMALL burnout.

Drive AROUND the waterbox and line up in front of it. Do a quick spin (2-3 seconds) to clean the rocks/debris from the tires. Then pull up and stage. No need for a smokey burnout with street tires. Drag radials on the otherhand...

And for guys with no LSD, turning the wheel does help. Just don't turn it too far, cuz when it catches...

Alright so just turn em left to right leave hand brake on, yeah I know they don't heat up like crazy but you do get em up to operating temperature. Thanks

Jerk the steering wheel left and right real quick, throughout the burnout. Long burnouts on street tires is no good. Glazes the tires. short burnout on street tires to clean the rocks off is adequate.

yes, all you need is 2-3 seconds in first gear, enough to clear the crap from the track off and heat it a LITLE.
