I recently purchased a 88 honda civic hatchback and the old owner had swapped in a ZC DOHC 1.6 and left me with a wiring puzzle twisted into a ball in the dash like a lovely birds nest, weve tried to figure things out but we cant get anything on the dash to work, do i need a new wiring harness?? if so do you know where i can buy one?

check out rywire and hasport though 1st i had a custom engine and ecu harness made for my 93 ej1

This is why it is never good to buy a project car that someone has not finished so many problems but i dont want to go there. If i was you op i would have bought it j/k anyways find a oem wire harness for it 88 civic hatch (trim) install it and go from there .

 

yeah, well i got a realy good deal for it, and its running and a badass car, just some problems to iron out. Yeah it kinda sucks to try to figure out where some crazy *** left off on the car, but getting this car was worth it, even if i have to gut it and start from scratch, also deos any one know where i can get a new guage cluster? or used? junkyards here are no help
