Buying an '05 TL 3.2 Engine and Trans to swap into a '96 Teg.

The seller says it's 6 Spd, so I did some research. I know that Wikipedia isn't the most trusted of sources. However, it states the '04 - '08 TL's with 6 Spd transmissions came with Torsen LSD.

Can anyone chime in with some opinions on this type of differential?
How does it compare to a helical LSD?

the 04-08 tl have lsd, also the 03 cl 6spd's have lsd. the accords dont. dont know the difference between torsen and helical

I don't know a whole lot about the differences, but I did go to high school with one of the inventor's grandchildren.

 

the 3rd gent tl 6spd have a problem in third. when u slam it in or just shift into 3rd gear, it some times popes out of gear and into neutral.

 

the j series lsd are helical

 

"Torsen" and "helical" describe different attributes of the same device.

All OEM J motor LSD are both Torsen and helical. :-)
