please help!! boosted stock z6
i have a stock d16z6 block and head in my 92 hatch. i have dc sport headers heat wrapped with a skunk 2 full exhaust. and a intake. i am getting a full t3 t4 turbo kit i would like to put on. the only thing i need to get is a oil pan that i can put the oil return lines on, i am putting on dsm injectors with the fuel rail. and also a fuel pump. um im also goin to need to get a boost gauge. i am only going to push like 5 to 7 lbs. nothing much because i am soon going to buy zex stage 1 cam along with getting my p28 ecu chipped. soo if anyone has any suggestions please tell me. thnx
yep, definately tune that bish.
as far as an oil pan with the fitting for a drain line, you will need to have the fitting welded in. i've heard of guys just drilling a whole and using jb weld as well, but i would certainly suggest actually mig/tig welding it in there. if that thing breaks off and you dump all your engines oil in a matter of seconds, you're going to be very sorry you went the cheap route.

i wouldnt really worry about a stage one cam for that boost level or hp range. save that money and get a real tune and boost it to 10 and be happy. stock heads good for 400hp. you can buy fittings to bolt onto ur pan for the oil drain rite on ebay. i dont know why anyone would j/b it.
One very important thing is you want to make sure you have good fuel delivery if you dont you will be sorry when the motor liens out and you warp your head.
huh? he would want to make sure he has large enough injectors to deliver the proper amount of fuel. keyword proper. if he has massive injectors but the tune leans out up high then you've got a big problem. leaning out is going to lead to catastrophic engine failure, not a warped head.

If you plan on running the dsm 450cc injectors your are going to need to run 10 watt 10 ohm resistors or use a resistor box..
Also i assume your going to run a walbro 255 fuel pump? How do you plan on pushing 5-7 lbs without your ecu chipped?
I suggest you have someone chip your ecu and at least street tune the car.. I also suggest you invest in a wideband.
It looks like to me.. you need to browse thru the forced induction forum.. read thru the faq and answer some of your own questions..
There is tons of info in here!
