im looking for a quieter exhaust, current setup is tri y header no cat two resonators one from the exhaust shop and the other is in the b-pipe of the catback from the espelier exhasut i originally had , espelier exhaust with a world sport muffler. 12.5 all motor gsr

the reason i keep getting improper exhaust tickets and iv had enough almost want to go back stock

one option im looking at the the greddy spectrum elite with a new omni test pipe

any suggestions are welcome thanks logan

Spoon n1 . i have a full itr catback i bought new from the dealership, i still have the paper work, really wanna just get rid of the b-pipe though.

 

put a cat on it instead of a test pipe or get an OEM muffler

 

Why build a 12.5 All motor GSR just to stifle it up with a stock exhaust? If you are being harassed by cops in your area for your exhaust then go back fully stock and save yourself some money.

 

Honestly a cat is your best sound deterrent in the exhaust system. It doesn't get much quieter in than the world sport. Give consideration to adding one unless you're getting tix based on the appearance. A buddy of mine has a wsp,resonator ,test pipe and a tri-y on an 11.5:1 lsvtec. His very quiet in the lower rpms.

 

comparing my full exhaust WS from the header back and my buddies with custom piping, resonator and a WS muffler...his sounds louder and raspier. We both have almost identical setups except for the exhaust.

I really think it comes down to the quality,size, and age of the resonator.

 

As mentioned to really quiet down the sound a cat is probably your best bet. Resonators help with loudness and raspiness but a cat is a better option.

 

thanks guys for all the responses its not the look of the exhaust its the loudness thats getting me tickets. and i was pretty sure that everyone was going to say stock but prob just going to get a high flow cat

 

dont drive around like an ******* making noise all the time. I have a loud exhaust, this is what keeps me from getting a ticket
