Default looking for an aftermarket exhaust.

so yea, i'm out in the market for an aftermarket exhaust. i want something that's not too loud. like it's silent until 3,000rpm down then when it goes up, it'll start to sound a little louder.
i'm looking at spoon n1, 5zigen fireball, and fujitsubo legalis r.
and not sure which one to get.

my other question is if i buy this, is it complete from header to muffler? or is it just like the muffler w/o test pipe etc.
not familiar with this things, a total noob. whats in it and what not.

thanks for any inputs.

As far as I know, most complete sets come without a test pipe or cat, and its up to you to fill that gap.

Just get a header and have the exhaust custom done all the way back to muffler of choice.

well...to answer your first question--real spoon stuff will cost you an arm in a leg...and it will be worth it but can get an exhaust thats close to the same for alot cheaper. same for the fujitsubo...i have seen cat backs for like $900!!!! thats crazy....at least i think thats what they were. i wouldnt trust that "fireball" stuff either. just my $.02. i would recommend an apex'i ws2 or a greddy sp2. also getting a shop to make you a 2.5" pipe with a good muffler would be sufficient enough.

next question...no. exhaust systems come as the pipe coming off the catalytic converter back to the muffler. they do not come with headers, downpipe, or cat. so that stuff you can either leave stock or upgrade it as well.

its piping + muffler (prebent, etc)

Just find a shop who will do stuff for cheap. I know a guy here in my town who will do a whole 1 piece system all the way back, and he bends it himself. For my del sol, I don't see him charging me more then $50. From the end of the header pipe to the muffler is like 2 feet of piping lmao

A cat back exhaust is an exhaust system that includes everything from the catalytic converter back to the muffler (piping + muffler).

Usually a resonator is included with most aftermarket catback exhausts, but you could switch them out in the future for a longer one if you want to quiet down your exhaust a bit.

Oh, and I'd suggest a Tanabe Concept G if you want a semi-loud exhaust, and a Tanabe Medallion Touring if you want something to free up some extra horsepower but still remain almost stock sounding.
