I adjusted my clutch pedal to suite my driving style... now, my problem is the clutch switch... when i press down my clutch there is that thing on the clutch switch that looks like a rod that pushes down and up, but when i press down the clutch that actual rod isnt touching the contact by the clutch pedal even the clutch switch is all the way screw down... is it suppose to be like that, i mean its not in contact with the clutch pedal when it is pushed all the way? and the clutch switch is actually for? dont know what does it do or its purpose... please care to elaborate... thanks in advance :-)

 

It is just an easy way to determine if the clutch is pressed or not. It's a switch (obviously by the name) that either opens or closes a circuit depending on the position of the clutch arm. To my knowledge it's open when depressed, and closed when pressed.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "adjusted it to your style" as I can't think if many ways to adjust it.

So long as the car is operating normally you shouldn't worry about the switch.

For my remote start I installed in my old Accord the switch is bypassed so the vehicle believes the clutch is always pressed.

 

There is are lock nut A & Clutch Switch or adjusting Bolt and then a Lock nut B & Clutch Interlock Switch. I did not want to start a whole new thread when the Topic name is just what I'm talking about.
Anyway! Witch one do you bypass or disable to use a remote start? Interlock switch! What does the Clutch Switch do? not the Interlock switch. 2 switches can any one shed light on the issue. I do appreciate your thoughts and knowledge. ThanK you!
