Default Are B and D series exhausts different?

Just what the topic says. I've been wondering this because I can't seem to fit my Megan Racing Header and Password JDM Test Pipe on my car because the Apex'I N1 that fit on my D16Y7 doesn't fit on my B18C1 stock header. Thanks for any help on this situation.

edit:

**** I just realized my first post is a little confusing. What I'm trying to do is mate my Apex'i N1 with my Megan Racing Header and PW:JDM Test Pipe. But it won't mate for some reason! The lengths are all wrong!

Well I'm just curious because I'm going to assume the diameters are the same just the piping is different? But I don't see exhausts out there that are made specifically for B-Series EK's/EG's/etc. So obviously it's working for others but I guess the Apex'i N1 is different?

the flanges for the headers where they bolt to the head are different for B series and D series.

If you want an exhaust for a B-series to fit on your civic.
Order a B-series exhaust and then go to the muffler shop and have them cut it to fit.

Just go to a good exhaust shop, show them what's up, they will know exactly what to do (which will probably involve some cutting).

okay here it is i did an obd2a to obd1 engine swap (D15B Vtech) I bought an obx exhaust system for my hatchback style civic with the obd1 motor in it. where the exaust connects to the downpipe has three bolts my down pipe has two bolts??? I can't find a downpipe for this exhaust and when i put the exhasut on it was about half a foot away from the downpipe?? so is it the motor or do i need the down pipe...

Well, from what it seems, the test pipe is too long. It's meant to replace a different cat than the one you're using.

So...you can either get a different test pipe, or cut the catback.

I find it hard to believe that companies would make it so that they're not interchangeable for D-B series swaps in EG/EK's. Maybe my midpipe was extended? It just makes no sense to me because my cousin EG w/ B16 has a BC Spec 2, Megan Racing Header, and PW JDM test pipe and it all bolted up perfect, like OEM.
