Default vtec help

i have an 88 prelude si with the b20 i got the car specifically to race at my local 3/8 round track. i come out the turns with enough speed that the car wont kick down into first which is fine but the car only revs to around 4700 in the strait stretch before i have to slow down again. i need to figure out how to either make the vtec engage sooner, or manually gear the car down to reach higher rpm in the straits. PLEASE HELP

Purchase a V-AFC and with that you are able to change at what RPM you would like your vtec to engage at.

i ve never installed a vtec controller do you know if the directions that come with the apexi vafc are actually good enough instructions for somone who has never done it, and in the 4 cylinder class the car is "supposed to stay stock" but they dont, so do u know if it is going to be easily consealed???

well the diagram and directions that come with it are reasonably easy to understand butttt as far as it being easily consealed maybe be difficult unless you hide it un the dash or something.
