ek manuel door window problem
I have a 96 civic hatch with manuel windows. I went to put the window up today and it got stuck about 3 inches away from the top and the **** that puts the window up just keeps twisting and the window wont go up anymore. I have to pull the window up by force with my hand. How do I fix this?
My dad had the same problem in his truck, he took the handle out and saw that the little teeth/design on it was scrathed off so it was slipping, check that.
it could be true the hand crank could be striped out.
someone told me u can get a handle crank at autozone or kragen.
that just what happend to me.
so i went factory power everything on my ek now.
Giving that its a 6th GEN civic, Either the window has popped off its tracks or the regulator is bent,You may have stripped the teeth on the regulator, If the window crank handle was stripped it wouldnt put the window up at all, Id take the door panel off and inspect the window tracks and regulator. Get some silicone lube and spray down the rubber tracks, Even sometimes the exterior part of the window track gets pulled into the groove. Honda really Sh*t the bed on the regulator design, VW ones are cables with little pulley which is a pretty slick idea.
