has anyone on here had a b16b and what was your opinion about it??

they lack torque, they're expensive, and you have to keep the rpm's way high to make any power.

well i can pick one up from my local importer for 400 more than a b18c sir-g its got a bit more hp but less tq so idk....but i'm thinkin it wuld make a good dd lol how does it compare to the b18c????

You would most definently have more fun with the b18c (it's a monster), but I have always been a big fan of the b16 series simply because it is quite an upgrade from your d series motors that still provides decent gas mileage for the dd.

Be careful because I had recently inquired about a b16 swap and was told that in some models there is little to no room for a/c unit.

well i think i'm gonna grab the ctr cause i can always pick up a gsr block down the road and put some itr pistons in it and slap on the ctr head and trsnny and enjoy that.... i'm not looking to go super fast... its going in a coupe anyway!!!!

The CTR uses the same block as the GSR and ITR. Same deck height, bore, oil squirters, girdle, etc. Just swap the rotating assembly out and you'll have a 1.8 liter.

this ctr swap is a 99 and my car is a 96 dx so i'm gonna have to use my stock harness and wire VTEC and get a different ecu or a jumper harness, correct?

oh my bad man, i should've been paying more attention lol. Ill put my vote in for the GSR swap..spend that extra 400 you saved on a nice set of cams
