Driver and passenger side windows loose?
So I noticed over time my windows chatter as I slam the door shut, now it's getting pretty bad and it sounds like my car is going to fall apart sometimes when driving with the window slightly cracked. Anyway to adjust/tighten the windows?
There has to be a solution to this, there's no way these cars came from factory with chattering windows when you close the door with the window even slightly cracked. Anyone else?
I've noticed this on my car as well. It appears that the window trim on the outside of the door is a bit loose. Not sure if this has anything to do with this in particular or is simply a minor eye sore, but worth checking out nonetheless.
Another possibility that i can think of is maybe the glass is loose from the regulator, or the regulator is slightly off track? Makes sense to me, because the window chatters if its all the way down as well (at least mine does)
I've just made it a habit to not close my door so hard if the windows are down...

Yeah, it sucks. I'm hoping maybe the bolts that maybe hold on the track/regulator is loose which is causing the windows the chatter. I haven't had a chance to take off my door panels to check it out. Any other suggestions?
In my car this happened and was caused by both of the lower rubber inserts falling out of the lower window tracks. Take off the door panel and check the window tracks to see that they are intact. I got new ones, but you can clean up and reuse the old - reattach them with some 3m weatherstrip adhesive.
If this is not the problem, taking off the door panel should allow you to spot what is going on.
