Whats these black things on my springs???
Okay so I got some Apexi lowering springs with accord euro R shocks to go on my CF4 SIR-T Torneo..
They arrived today but I want to know what the black things are? they are like wraped around the spring, and you can easily take them off and put them back on.
One is at the lowest point of the far left hand spring in the picture, its sitting right on the lip of the shock and you cant take it off.
The other one is on the far right spring near the top you can easily see it and easily take it off, whereas the other two springs dont have any at all??
Is this going to cause me any problems or anything? noises etc? and should i take them off the other two springs so they all match or leave them with two on and two off?
Will it effect it having only two of the 4 springs with these plastic things? only one has on top and only one has on bottom. seems strange two are missing them totally?? and that only one of the front ones has it on the bottom?
Cheers

Yeah. They are placed there so in case you hit a pothole or something, u wont have the spring metal hitting each other creating a chatting noise. Its only placed on those two parts because thats the point where there is the most load and the most movement.
If u don't have them, it's alright u won't really notice the noise. Only the ones where it is coiled tightly (the progressive part of the spring) will need it. The two on the left don't really need them since the coils are farther apart from each other.

koolkevin, thank you very much
thats exactly what I needed to know! Should I leave it on that spring even though the other is missing it?? just dont want it making the suspension get effected on one side is all
