All 3 are awesome. Your DC2, JDM DC2 and DB8 really it's personal preference.

Here's my take...DB8 have a slightly longer wheel base so you'll get slightly better handling. BUT the disadvantages are less availability in parts (DB8 R's are less common), and they are slightly slower due to the additional weight of the extra 2 doors.

Keep your DC2 since you already have a STI.

If you already have an R, I'd keep the R and the STi...you're not getting anything special with the DB8 other than googling theives

DB8! Im biased though. Obviously they are a little bit slower, but easier to cart people around. Personally prefer the 4 door look and theres less of them around.

DC2 for sure. I hate 4 door Integras, regardless of model.

When I had my daughter, I toted her around in my R until I got my second car. R's are R's and not good cars for transporting kids around in regardless of how many doors its got. The notion that the DB8 is better for people with families is a huge misconception and was a bad marketing strategy on the part of Honda, and the customers that bought the DB8 for that reason, soon realized that.

They are really rare even in Japan, because the EVO and STi were the better muscle sedans and compensated for the weight better (despite what the video above says...which BTW is biased), so more people opted for the Evos and the STi's over the DB8.

One last thing you really should consider is that although the engine parts are compatible with the JDM DC2, a lot of the other part (ie exhaust, body panels rear wing, some interior parts) aren't, and they are pretty hard to source even in Japan.

Having said all of this, the DB8 is a great track car, and does slightly better than the DC2 on very technical tracks, but slower on the straights. Personally, I would love to have and STi and a DC2R in my garage. That would satisfy all my senses. Unfortunately I had to settle for a Subaru Forester Cross Sport which does have the detuned 230hp version WRX STi 2.0L Turbo engine, from the 2004 STi, but mated to a god awful 4 speed semi automatic gear box.
