A good turbo for 300~400whp is the T3/04E-60 with a .63 AR turbine housing. It is a Garrett stock turbo, so you know it's built right. You should also be able to get one for much less than $800.

He is correct. If you are only looking at producing 300-400 crank hp, then the T3/T04E with a .63 A/R Turbine housing, Stage III Turbine & .60 A/R Compressor Housing w/ either the 57 or 60 trim compressor will do just fine. I carry them in stock for $575.00. Email me @ louisanaya@hotmail.com for more info. I can get you the Garrett GT30 as well, but it is over 2.5x the price of a Garrett T3/T04E.

 

what if I want 300-400 wheel horsepower, do I need to go with a 60-1/t3t04 then?

Will allow you to produce 300-400 whp. You will be at the edge with the .63 A/R Turbine housing, but it can get really close to 400 whp.
