'92 Si w/B16 needs sway bar advise
Heading to the recyclers today and I need some advise
Looking into an OEM integra rear sway bar
I read (online) that there's three types
LS...GSR....and Type R
They all have different diameters (LS being the smallest)
I was told the Type R needs and Brace (ASR?) to avoid subframe tear out
Does the LS need a brace to avoid tear out too?
Any info on the subject would be appreciated

u only need the brace for the rear itr sway. i use the gsr front and rear on an ej1, for the back u need the sway and ALL its pieces plus the rear lca's. the gsr is 14mm, itr is 24mm.

I saw other ones Front/Back (somewhere else) for less then $180 but i would still need the brace and LCA's

And yes....I got my A/C going a week or two ago.

nice wheel too, mine is similar but i have the leather honda cover.
btw... just get the f/r gsr sways with the rear lcas from the teg; and u can use the stock front lca's. most aftermarket lca's suck and are only a bling factor. got my sway setup for like 40 bucks at a yard.

So I am under the assumption that my si front LCA are good to go and have mouting for a sway? I am out of town and can't jack my car up
I got some cool guys that are good to me at the recyclers but $40 seems cheap as hell!!!

u SHOULD have a stock sway 21mm already, the gsr is 22mm. i upgraded but its up to u. for the rear u need the sway, all brackets and the lca's... lol its like a 15mm
You might want to get something a bit bigger than the stock GSR sway bar...as mentioned, it's only 14mm. It really depends on what your suspension setup is. A stiffer rear will rotate faster...so if you already have pretty stiff springs then you won't need a crazy sway bar.
I also have a 92 Si with a B16, I'm running Ground Controls with shelf rates (read: not too stiff) and a 21mm rear sway bar. It rotates quite well, but it's not oversteer city like I've felt before in a DC2 with stiff suspension and the JDM ITR rear sway bar (23mm). It's a nice balance, so far I really like it.
But yeah, make sure you install everything correctly and get a subframe brace. If not, the sway bar will either rip out of its bushings or rip off your existing subframe.

I figured s GSR rear set up was the way to go for me.
I have neuspeed race 2-1/4" drop with KYB's and Camber Kit
My 14" rims allow quite a bit of flex on 60series tires.
I figure the GSR rear sway will improve my cars under-steer (which it does have but not as much as the LS swap I had in it for 10yrs). It will hopefully balance it out more.
I did purchase the parts/hardware today from a GSR (still had ABS chord on one)
But it wasn't $40......best I found was $70 (after haggling from $100)

Now to piggy-back off the topic and talk about the bushings. I did purchase a black OEM Integra front upper strut bar. Now that I have stiffened my suspension (to some minimal degree...or at least I think), How much strain is going to these bushings? I understand the physics that the energy of weight transfer will, inevitably, go 'somewhere else' but I had a friend kinda scare me when he said that the bushings will go pretty quick.
On a scale of 1-5...how much more strain do you guys think is on the bushings?
