Default BrewSpeed fabrication/parts thread

I am going to start my own thread like others on here so I don't keep clogging up the works every time I do something new. I'm going to post my other pictures up here eventually as I need to move around some items in my website. Thanks for the space as usual!

Just a quick laser-cut finish machined 3/8" aluminum weld flange for some MR2 intercooler plumbing.

Default Eagle Talon 3.5" downpipe

I had trouble finding 3.5 inch u bends in the quality of material and bend radius I wanted, so I decided to do some laser-cut pie slices. I am really happy with the way this turned out. This saves an incredible amount of time and effort and allows me to completely customize the bend radius. If I wanted to get tricky I could have even laser-cut the holes for the O2 sensor/EGT probe bungs or a port to recirculate the wastegate dump.

How do pie cuts save time? It must have taken forever to weld that many pie cuts around 3.5" tube.
But your work is top notch, keep up the good work!

Ha! I meant compared to cutting the slices by hand Welding it all up was painfully time consuming. Thanks for the complement.

Laser is by Trumpf.

So are you going sell kits of these pie cuts on your website? How many degrees are they cut to?

Pretty much all of my parts are made to order. These were 15-degree pieces.

The parts look great, but why not save yourself lots of time and just order 3in donuts and cut the exact sections you need from them. You can get up to a 360 deg radius with them.

I ordered a single U bend, but sent it back as I was unhappy with the quality. It is 3.5" however which made it a little more difficult. I also wanted to make a smaller bend radius... so this was the obvious answer for me.

Default baby t25 3-1 and 4-1's

It depends on what it is. It's almost easier to do it to order then have spares all over the place. I'm trying to keep common setups in stock, but everyone seems to want something a little different.

The donuts I have used come in a 3in radius for a 3in tube.

Yeah... the chassis shop has some nice pro-werks stuff. The slices I made were probably close to a 2" center-line radius though, and the 3.5" donuts were only in 14 gauge, and were a little rich for my blood. Regardless thanks for the link

Be careful that you don't turn this into a commercial thread. That is a no-no since you are not a forum sponsor. By commercial thread, I mean don't post parts in here that you are drying to drum up business on.

^^ I think he is just trying to show off the precision of his fancy new laser cutter. Although you might want to show more stuff welded together so mods dont get that impression and delete your thread.

does the laser cut the bevel in the pipes for you or do you still have to do it before welding? or can it be set up to do that?
