Never done it but it doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult in theory as long as you plan it out. Where did you want to relocate it to? I'd imagine if you splice in enough wire (and do a quality job) you could pretty much move it anywhere you want.

 

You could mount it down where the spare tire goes. Not only would this remove the huge eyesore that is the 4WS computer from sight, but it would also lower your overall center of gravity as the unit is large, and not the lightest thing.

Might also want to get some rubber bushings to put between the unit and the trunk floor to help isolate it from vibration.

 

why are you asking where i want to put it? i said i dont know where to put in...hence the request for pictures... and its not a heavy part. as much as a healthy **** before you drive it...

 

Try searching preludepower or another forum if you can't find anything here. I know the ABS unit in my car is behind the rear inside panel on the passenger side, so you might think of relocating your 4WS computer there depending on the size. My 'lude doesn't have 4WS so i'm trying to help as best i can. Good luck.

Good idea... same place i mounted the amp in my girlfriend's car.


There really are a bunch of options though... pics kinda help but you can literally mount it just about anywhere, size permitting. I'm not sure how big it is, but the ABS computer is mounted behind the rear panel on the passenger side, maybe the 4WS will fit the same location behind the passenger side.

 

Buy my roll cage to put in that!
