Back from paint. B53P CRX-VT EE8.
Got her back from paint a week or so ago. We just got married in it.
There are still a couple of little things to be ironed out. A few flaws in the paint. A crooked body line here and there. And I'm still waiting on the badging and stickers to arrive from Honda.Co Japan.
Overall, we're stoked with the result. The color is spot on. And very very uniform. The euro version of CBP has a very heavy metal flake and pearl, and is very hard to shoot properly.
It took me a bit over 60 hours to put her together again. You saw the horror thread (link here). But that doesn't show to what extent she was apart. All but the quarter windows and the engine were taken out.
Supposedly the curing can take several weeks. So this is all paint, no wax!
The taillights were in very very poor shape. Took me a few hours and some elbow grease, but I think you can clearly see the time was well worth it.
As much as it pains me. This public service announcement is to announce that I'm officially pussywhipped. And after all this time and effort.....THIS IS THE WIFE'S CAR.
Ok, well...here goes. I think I'm getting the hang of this picture taking thing as well...
The rest of them are on my Flickr

I passed on several sets of MR5's already.
They are overpriced for 20+yr old wheels. Too hard to replace. And I'd be scared to death to use them.
This car is daily driven.
But thanks for the positive sentiment tho!

Lower it more? What possible use would that serve? It's almost tucking in the back. And if I drop the front even more, I'm going to scrape a bumper that isn't even in production anymore.
This isn't a trailer queen.

A CRX for the missus, eh? My girlfriend keeps talking about how she wants a CRX, I need to find her a nice cheap one...
The car is really clean and the paint looks great, but the wheels are killing it. I'm not much of a fan of the original Mugens in the first place or chrome lipped anythings, and I've seen so many cracked C8's on Craigslist and elsewhere that I just don't trust any of Rota's thin spoked wheels (C8, C10, SubZero, etc).
I'd throw some different wheels on, lower it a half inch all the way around, and call it a day.
Why no bay/interior shots? I <3 EE8 interior.

Thank god we're both wheel ******. We have a continuously rotating collection. Currently we also have a set of slipstreams, BC/SF, Lenso VPD and some EDM EG6 wheels we can choose from.
I'll put some interior shots on my flickr.
The engine bay needs work. A LOT of work.

My EF was a little lower than your Rex and I cleared everything. 185/60/14's never rubbed (no rolled fenders either), I only scraped on speed bumps and such when there were people in the car. And due to the EF's high front bumper...never scraped my front lip either. I did scrape my flaps all over the place though
Drop it 2-3 cm, that's all you need IMO. Just enough to close the gap between the fenders.

ahh...but see, I'm on 16's. And these are just 195/45/R16. The funfunfun azeni tires are 215 wide, with the Goodyears on the other wheels clocking in at 205 on 15's.
Now the front could probably come down maybe half an inch. But that would definitely rub at full lock. And I'm -really- scared to clip that front bumper. It's out of production, and almost irreplaceable. Especially here in Euro land. I don't even have a finger of clearance in the back. So with the proper +45 offset, I can clearly see some rubbing in my future.
