Clutch not fully disengaging?
A while back i adjusted the push rod on my clutch master cylinder to adjust the pedal. A few days ago the trans began to feel "hard" and i was feeling each gear in the shifter. It was not going into gear smoothly, its not grinding, it just feels very notchy and i don't like it. I really don't think it is my syncros since it only does it sometimes and not at certain rpm's. I am wondering if the clutch is not fully disengaging due to the push rod being adjusted? I know the clutch is on its way out and a new one is def due. I'm going to re-adjust it tomorrow and see whats what. Thanks in advance!
is it releasing really close to the floor?? if so, you may need to readjust the push rod so it releases further out. If its not releasing close to the floor, then it could be something else.
Its not releasing dramatically close to the floor but about average i guess. I'm just thinking that since there isn't too much meat left to the clutch disc, the push rod is not pulling the clutch away from the flywheel enough for it to be fully disengaging. Therefore causing the shifts to be less smooth. Im not sure though this is all a guess. lol Thanks for the help man!
