Goo Gone. A hair dryer can speed things up.

Razor blades work on glass, but on the rear you don't want to use it on the inside because of the defroster lines.

Peel it off and let the goo dry for a couple of days/weeks. Then take a pressure washer to it at the local do-it-yourself wash. Obviously only works on the outside. I'm sure goo gone would work too.

Rubbing alcohol works great, too. I've also used zippo lighter fluid, and WD-40.

Laquer thinner (avoid unpainted plastic surfaces and black trim) works the best for removing glue and sap.

I'd vote for WD-40. Stuff is a godsend.......Tar? bah-da-bing, WD-40 to the rescue........
As for glass cleaning, you can mix up a little water with alcohol in a spritzer.

I've always liked Invisible Glass, but any aerosol glass cleaner should work well. Wipe it off well after you spray it. I try not to clean interior glass too often or have to clean interior glass too often. It can be a real pain.

Exterior glass I don't clean other than wash it with the rest of the car and then dry it off.

You might also have waterspots (deposits) or acid rain damage. Waterspots can be removed with a variety of ways.
