Default Sucked up some water!!

so im driving to ocean city last thursday night while rain is pouring it's *** off. i have a mugen front lip so there is a hole right to my filter(cold air). as im driving i try to pass someone and it's starts to bog out. this happened about four times within 2 hours of driving. Could anything be messed up? what should i check for? thanks.

If the car is still running, power delivery feels normal, and it isn't making any unusual noises, then it's fine. You dodged the bullet. If you're really paranoid, run a compression test. If you bent a rod or valve, you'll have one or more cylinders with abnormally low compression.

Now get yourself a bypass valve or relocate the filter back in the engine bay where it belongs before you do some real damage.

Both Injen and AFE make a hydro shield, looks like a condom for air filters. Doesn't let water pass through, pretty neat invention.
