KYB Shock ride height question after install
I just did installed my KYB AGX shocks today and I noticed the front is slightly higher than the back now. I am 100% sure I installed the shocls in the correct location as I followed the part number from each box. These were paired with Tein S-tech springs 1.5F and 1.3R.
I was just wondering why the stance is higher in the front? I was looking at my front stock shocks and they were leaking bad so, I am assuming that my old shocks caused the front end to drop a bit more.
Anyone with any suggestions or advice on why it is higher in the front?

it your struts where leaking befor, then it was sitting lower in the front then norm. if you put new springs on, then it will take a few 100 miles to break them in. the car will settle so keep any eye on it.
I just installed koni yellows/ new lowering springs on mine and we even raised the back a little and the fronts are definitely higher then the backs but the car sits pretty level... Still settling though, I remember reading SH's sit different then bases so that may also have an effect on it.
i have the same issue... and its been a year since the install and i have the same set up. the only way to get the front to sit lower is by setting the shocks are setting 1 and than the front comes down. but when i bring it back to setting 3 the front raises up again. i am so pissed off that now i am looking into something else.

Its a 97 SH
The front struts were leaking bad so that explains the different stance right now. I will wait for it to settle and hopefully the front end goes down a bit.
I have another dilemma. I just realized when I was trying to adjust the dampening setting that the RL strut's numbers got rubbed off somehow. Is there any other way of figuring which number was placed where?
Ok thanks for the input guys.

The springs I used were used from my old stock shocks so, will they still need time to settle? or are the springs already settled from 3 yrs of use?

I was also looking at the top of the shock where the adjustments numbers are and it looks like they are flipped around for each side? Is this correct? Would this be the same for the rears? If so, it would help me a great deal if someone can chime in on the positioning of the numbers? (ie 1,2,3,4 would read going clockwise for the FR but for the FL it reads counterclockwise). Please someone clarify this as I do not want to be on the wrong setting for the rears. :/
I called KYB and they are going to send me another piece with all the adjustment numbers on it. I was impressed with their service and the guy I spoke with was really polite and courteous.

I can sort of attest to this, except I picked up a set of H-techs (afraid of going too low). Now, in retrospect, i almost wish i went with something else. The rear of the car lost almost 2 fingers, yet the front lost maybe a little more a 1/2 a finger. So instead of the rake that the car used to have, it sits pretty much level. I definitely like how it sits now, but the raked look is key.
