I am going to get some Si wheels and just wondering if I can put 205's on instead of the normal 185 or 175.....
Will there be a better chance the tires will scrub w/ 205's (dropped around 2.75")?
Also what thickness sidewall would I need to go with?
...or would it be better just to stick with the stock size tires?
Thanks!

205's will fit on the Si wheels fine. The stock width is 195/55/15 just for FYI. With that drop you may rub, and you may not. Some people say they rub with 205's, and other don't. I guess it just depends on what tire you purchase.
Some are wider than others.

'99-00 Si wheels stock are 195/55/15. tons of people opt for the 205/50/15 when changing tires.
i had '97 gs-rs which have the same dimensions as the si wheels with 205/50/15 and was dropped 3". no rubbing problems ever, but i did tuck my fender linings in... it also depends on the tire though. some have a squarer outer tread than others and as stated above the 205s vary in actual width.

I have SI wheels on my 94 4 door and mine is droped around three inches and they do not rub,i have 205/50/15 on them, they hit my inner fender when i turned really hard, but it doesnt do it anymore because it got worn down enough.

Matter of fact...never heard anything bad about em cept for some greasy tire issues or something after hard runs...i think a spray bottle cures this!

Thanks for all the info!
At this point I am not sure what size tires I will get. Not even sure about where I am even getting them from.
Anyone got the weight on the Si wheels??
