well my speed sensor went out, and i dont have the money to buy a new one right now, is there any way that i can bypass the sensor for now so my vtec can hit? someone help haha

 

yea no not likely. is it possible to create something that could create a fake vss pulse.. yes. would it cost less than just purchasing a new vss.. no

 

no you cant simulate a VSS pulse cause its a magnetic pulse that has to read a certan amount of "teeth" per second (or how ever its rated) your just gonna have to do with out vtec for a little bit.. but if you have abs becareful cause they go off of the vss so just becareful about hitting the breaks to fast

 

Are you sure your VSS is really bad? If so, try to pick one up from a junkyard.

 

alright thanks guys. and yeah i tried another sensor but not the whole thing, just the electrical part of it, not the actual gear inside the tranny.

 

just go get one at a junkyard. it will be cheap. you can get a d or b series.. just swap the gear over.

 

i took an auto one and had to regrind it so the pin would fit because the gear is offsetted alil deeper on the manual then the auto speed sensor. the hole dont line up ont he tranny but nothing a bolt and a walsher cant clamp down.
