Default Blown Motor-Need Help!

Hey Everybody,

My buddy has a bone stock 98 prelude that he just uses as a daily driver. It has rod knock and quite a few different leaks on the motor. I am just curious, are there any direct drop in motors other than the h22? Do the h23a vtec's or the f20b's from the accord sir drop right in?? Thanks for all the help and input.

Thank you

Is the h22 trans a manual? If you plan on using an h23 with the h22 trans i don't think you will be able to use the h22 ecu.

get a new jdm h22 longblock for a grand and call it a day, maybe contact rosko for the Euro R intake mani before you put it in, that might benefit you nicely.

any h or f will bolt to 5speed trans and work in your car, keep in mind the car is obd2, and the majority of available h/f motors are obd1, so you owuld have to convert, or stick with a obd2 f20b or h22, damn near any h/f motor will drop it with no probles other then a f22a that will require new driver mount and downpipe, for 1000$ you can pick up a good running h22 longblock or f20b lonblock. good luck!
