how do we know its fake and not just painted black?

 

how do you know it is fake? there are no vins or other info or any close pics. the Steering wheel is a JDM type r wheel. someone needs to go take a look. Its probobly a 96 spec

 

lol one way to find out is ask for a pic of the rear subframe

 

Looks like the door panel has a tweeter. I'm pretty sure the 96 spec's don't.

 

I dont know... if they can add a tweeter to the door panel, they can easily change out the subframe...

What year did the start they JDM 4-1 header? That looks like a GSR header.

 

well if its a 95 and a type r then its not a usdm car.

 

what about the trunk tie bar or the pre threaded holes where the trunk bar goes?

 

Black was offered in the ITR trim for the debut year of the car, 1995.

 

Yup, the Japanese spec ITR's were first offered in Black White and Silver. The 4-1 header didnt start until 98, but the pre 98 cars still had a tubular manifold, not cast iron. (same as our usdm manifolds)

Its probably a legit shell, but it looks like its got a GSR motor judging by the upper coolant hose.

 

If it's a real JDM ITR it's probably worth the pick-up. It looks like it needs some lovin'.

Hmm, I like to think of my self as a guy who keeps up on type r specs but did not know this. I thought jdm colors didn't come untill 98, good to know.

 

Well as the owner of a JDM R and I also live in japan this "looks" legit.

 

If it was a JDM HONDA Integra Type R, why would they write Acura Integra Type R multiple times? Sounds kinda sketchy to me, but who knows...

 

I own a honda integra and I still call it a Acura all the time It's just american thing it's weird calling a integra a Honda sometimes.

 

didn't that style side view mirror only come out in 98 and above?

 

those mirrors def came out in 96

 

!!!! who cares !!! the car looks clean but yes its a fake typr R . look at the first top left pic look closely at the shock tower where the og type r strut bar goes theres no tuds sticking up and on the real gsr and type r there is a metal plate welded to the chasy where the studs are held in place it must be a RS with a rhd conversion

 

So much junk from JP still ends up here.

 

I am not saying it is legit, but what i can confirm is that i have JDM brochures stamed August of 1995 when the very first 96Spec ITRs were debuted. I'm not sure why he is advertising it as a 95 though, unless the individual he purchased it from advetised it that way. Just my $.02
