AEM EMS Headache.......!!!!
Well I finally got my AEM EMS in and got it to the tuner for install and tunning. After numerous hours on the phone with AEM trying to get the car to start up with no luck it was decided by the tech at AEM that the chip in the ecu was bad and needed to be sent back......Well this sucks because I need the car to drive back to school this friday. So to solve the problem Im having Hondata 2B with everything I need shipped in tonight so hopefully I can get tuned and on the road by friday. Let's just say Im not to happy with AEM right now.....

i was simply stating that this guy has money to throw around. getting an AEM EMS to a Hondata like nothing, plus the fact he has a turbo ITR.

did u download the base maps availabe at http://www.aempower.com ? I believe there is a map for a turbocharged b18c5 with 440cc injectors. If not, you should check the voltage sensor settings on the EMS, because apparently that also causes non-starts.

this is a common issue. Im not sure if you are aware or not but AEM has a message board of its own dedicated just to the EMS unit. Maybe that can help you out. I dont think you should ditch it yet because the ease of use and potential of it is endless, especially with improved software being released in the near future. hondata has just as many if not more glitches. just my 2 cents. good luck

Wow dude, you're brave trying to get a standalone working without a daily driver. My EMS has been a project, there's no way I could have done it if the ITR was my only car. Then again, I'm tuning it myself and I have no experience with standalones, just a decent idea of how the car works and the EMS manual.
