Civic Cx rear disk conversion!!!
im tryin to figure out if i have to run lines from the master cylinder straight back to the rear disk or is there a junction box somewhere under the car its a 92 cx hatch ? anyone know whats the deal!
no you don't. there's a break in the line where it goes from hard line to soft line right above your rear trailing arm (it actually goes THROUGH the trailing arm at one point i think), you just undo it there (look for the bracket) and hookup the integra/civic si line from there to the caliper.
Hmmm, I always thought the brake fluid lines were all the same.. I don't remember ever replacing them when swappin to rear discs...

the easiest way i have found to do a rear disc swap is just take the brake hubs off the rear. it is a couple of torx bolts on the back of the hub. i think that is easier than swapping a rear trailing arm. i know it has nothing to do with what you are asking but everyone is right you don't have to run new lines you just detach right where that funny clip that holds it to the trailing arm i think

The proportioning valve thing is debatable. I've run a rear disk swap with the stock prop valve and its fine. It only affects the balance of the braking system. For racing you want the prop valve but for everyday driving its not going to affect you much. Its not something you HAVE to do in my opinion.
I know my 99 DX hatch has the same p/n prop valve as a 99-00 Si. So some cars don't need to upgrade. Check the part numbers on a site like HondaPartsDeals for your car if you want to know.

OK for sure well im planning on Autocross so I want them as dialed as can be!! but some people are sayin The prop valve is not a big deal but im thinkin it is because its a distribution of fluid to the caliper and the integra has a way bigger piston than my stock brakes?
on the ek the prop valves are all the same, on the eg/eh chassis the prop valve is different for cars that came with rear disc (si/some ex's) and i believe it is the 40/40 on those cars, you can swap it from one of those or an integra w/o ABS... i think the 90-93 prop valve is the same (and 4040) but in a different location, if i remember right all the lines would lineup on the eg...if you are going to autocross you might consider swapping it.
Alright for sure Thats legit yea i picked one up yesterday, and yea the 90-93 w/o abs is what i have heard to run is good on my car! thanks for the advice. so lemme ask this One of my rear disks that i have is LOCKED like the other one spins but this one dont could the e brake be on inside? cuz the arm is off the car so?

you can rebuild them. the kits are fairly cheap. i went ahead and had the new rings and stuff put in mine before i did it so i only had to put them on once
