Default Where to buy: Comptech Ice Box

hello all

I am new owner of an 04 Civic Si. I bought it a little over 3 weeks ago and I love it so far, very nice car. I have been browsing the internet searching for different things you can do to the car and lurking HT, ephatch, k-series, and other websites for information. One thing I have not been able to find is where I can buy a Comptech Ice Box. I have how to installs, dyno charts, and pictures but non for sale. I imagine they are rare and the people who have them want part of my leg and all of my arm for one. Im not willing to give up any limbs but do want to buy one.

Any help or link that shoots me in the right direction would be awesome. Here is a picture of my new ride, my old ride, and me the day I picked it up. I will post more as soon as it stops raining and I get a day off.... stupid Palm Pre makes me work more....

There is a used one listed in the June FS thread. Look a little further down. I would liek one myself, but have other priorities at the moment. i.e. my mountain bikes.

I Pm'd the person selling the Ice Box in the sale thread, I dont know how I missed that.

Very interesting mod from Hondata http://www.hondata.com/techkseriesairboxmod.html I want something that generates more power. Im not really looking for a sound, actually quiter is better. Thats what attracts me to the Ice Box http://www.importtuner.com/powerpage..._si/index.html Of course it only adds about 5 hp....

What intake do you guys recommend?

just get a type-s cai and avoid driving you ep like a U-Boat.....the type-s cai's are 75mm id where the ep3 ones tend to run around 60mm id............:b

The Hondata Air Box is the samething as the Comptech Ice Box... nothing different just that the Comptech is an extensive part and the hondata one is cheap and easy... they are both equally quiet, I know I did the mod.

Its funny that you say not drive like a U-boat.... on Tuesday my work flooded again and I waded through 2 feet of water to drive my car up a hill so it wasnt under water (under water meaning it was parked towards the bottom of the hill in the parking lot with the back of the car in the lowest spot.... no damage, but the waater was half an inch from coming in the doors and I could not see my muffler) but it scares me to think what would happen if I had an exposed filter on the bottom of my car.
