Default b18 experts need part name/number

1991 b18a1. passenger side of the head. there's two holes in the cam towers. one has the distributor, the other has a round rubber plug.

nobody seems to know what the hell it its called or even know a part number. I seriously need this. my old one is dryrotted to the point oil pours out.

common sense would dictate cam seal or cam plug but the only thing the parts store computers come up with is the two cam seals for the cams on the cam gear side.

Its a cam seal. Get an aftermarket one like golden eagle or something. They're better than that stock plastic one anyway.

Cam seal is not the factory name. It's called the cylinder head seal. Look on www.acuraoemparts.com they have all oem parts including part numbers.

B16/B18/B20/H23/H22 all use the same plug. True the aluminum 3 ring one will probably seal forever, but the plastic Honda one still lasts 10+ years, and is way cheaper

went to the dealership and had it in my hand in 3 minutes.

12513-P30-000 $8.32 (paid with card and they charge more cause of it lol).

anyone know the torque on the cam caps for when I replace it this afternoon??

Wow, lol

exactly. I'm just replacing the part, pressure washing the engine and selling the car. kinda hard to get good money for a car thats leaking like a siv.

Excuse me? First of all, YOU asked for help and I was trying to provide it. There is no reason for you to reply to me in a condescending manner. I was stating a valid FACT that an aftermarket cam seal is BETTER than it's OEM counterpart numskull. I'm not here to determine if you like aftermarket parts or not and I don't give a **** about your budget. "Bling is not my thing"..yeah, because an aftermarket cam seal is for bling. Absolutely hilarious. Carry on.

edit: you know what. not worth arguing with you. probably too young and hotheaded to understand what I was saying anyway.
