Default from D16Y8-D16z6

Alright, i have a simple question some buddies put this in my mind and im not fully clear on this. When my Z6 goes into my 96 civic will i need customed mounts? I don't think so cause all D series are straight forward and basicly the same...

Let me know, thanks.

I'm pretty sure you will need to change the mounts. Shouldn't be that hard.

I'm not sure because I never owned a EK but from what I've seen. I think the you need the mount from the y8 to put on the Z6 inorder for you to put it in your EK.

you dont have to have to change your mounts. just swap the intake manifold from the y8 to the z6 with everything on it. injectors, throttle body,etc... And be sure to jb weld the little emission holes on the y8 manifold.

When I put a Z6 in my 97 DX, I used the mounts from the stock Y7, not too hard and you shouldn't have any problems. And depending if your going to use ur stock ecu or the p28, if you use the stock obd2 ecu for this motor just reuse your intake manifold with your sensors and you wont have to rewire your IAC, and then if you use the obd2 ecu too you need to use the z6 distributor and wire up a "Y" conversion harness to go to your stock harness, it is pretty cheap and easy to do with some junkyard connections and some splicing, or you could buy one, and last thing since the z6 doesnt have a crank position sensor, you could change oil pumps and all that, but you can just tap the 2 wires by your ecu for the crank sensor to the 2 for the camshaft sensor, its on the forums showing the specifics of those if you search around, if you didn't need to know that or you are using a p28 and a conversion harness then nevermind lol, but yeah use your stock y8 motor mounts.

*i had a mix up which stock motor you had but its mostly the same for the bulk of the info

use the Y8 manifold, its better than the Z6 one, and you wont have to change anything.
