H22 civic questions
The h22 I have has 200,000 miles and its out of a BB6, and I was wanting to do a rebuild.
Now I know the FRM sleeves are tricky when it comes to rebuilding. If the pistons are fine I would like to throw some new rings in it and clean the pistons up. If it does need new pistons as well can I overbore the block .25 and it will be alright, and will it take a special machinist to do this?
I can also get the brakes all around and do a five lug swap, is this similar to the type-r swap?
Thanks.

you can bore any block up to 3 thousandths of an inch over not a quarter of an inch and yes you need a machine shop, you also need bigger pistons to fit in the bigger cylinders, and i dont understand your last question

FRM is a bitch to bore. Certain shops say they can do it, but I wouldn't. FRM has a tendency to chip when it's machined. That'll wear rings out fast.
Can the prelude knuckles and brakes fit onto my 99 civic, if so is it similar to a integra type-r brake swap? Is it alright just to throw new rings in no problems because I am really leaning towards that?

I dont think the brakes from a Prelude will fit in your civic. You can just change the rings if you want to. I wouldnt recommend overboring FRM blocks. There are lots of complications when overboring it and it can easily get ruined. But you could get it honed, im pretty sure that is fine on FRM. Take the block out and take it to a machine shop to get honed and tanked, so it cleans the whole inside. Then you can get new bearings and you can get the crank micropolished and stress relived, that will make your internals like new
