I have a 97 civic ek and bought a '00 front end...I have the hood, lights and fenders on but not the bumper/grill...I know some minor modifications need to be done in order for it to fit right...I havent done it before so I dont want to mess up. there's nothing to mess up. fenders and hood fit the same. Front bumper cover, notch the back of the bumper and you'll be fine. There's two plastic tabs that will interfere with the 97 radiator support, but if you notch it'll slide right over.

Test fit and you'll see what I'm talking about. Good luck. BTW, this topic has been covered numerous times. Search.

if u get the 99-00 clip and all its pieces; u only need to mod the bumper...

I actually already bought 99 EX front and rear bumpers...

I just wanted to switch bumpers... DO I gotta do all that other crap as well??

to go from a 96-98 front end you need to change the following..
bumper, fenders, hood, grill, headlights.
the following are optional but will help it to fit better.
rad. support, headlight supports, those brackets that hold the fenders.

all you need to do is cut a little of the bumper mount on the core support and re drill a hole for the clip to go in. its simple everything else just bolts right on.

easier if you just notch the bumper cover.
